Account & sign-in
Who can create an account?
Louder is an adult-managed service. Only individuals who are 18 years of age or older may create an account, and each account must belong to a single adult. If you set up the service on behalf of another member of your household, you are the account holder and remain responsible for the account at all times.
I forgot my password
From the sign-in screen choose Forgot password. We will email you a magic link that signs you in so you can set a new one.
How do I delete my account?
Open the Louder app, go to Account, and tap Delete Account. All Listener Profiles, playlists, listening history, and your email are permanently removed. If you are using Louder anonymously, the same option appears as Delete My Data.
Can I use Louder without an account?
Yes. You can browse the catalog and create a single Listener Profile anonymously. Creating an account unlocks additional bonus content and lets you sync across devices.
Age verification & Listener Profiles
What is the age-verification step I see the first time I create a profile?
Before any Listener Profile is created the app presents a short arithmetic challenge followed by an explicit consent screen. This is how we confirm that the account holder is an adult. The consent screen lists every piece of information we will store against the account.
What information does a Listener Profile contain?
Only the display name and avatar the account holder chooses, the content categories the profile prefers, and the tracks played inside that profile. Louder does not request, or display a field for, real names, birthdates, ages, photographs, voice recordings, contact information, or location. See Section I.D of our Privacy Policy for the full carve-out.
How do I edit or delete a Listener Profile?
Tap Manage Profiles in the app to rename, reset, or remove any profile. To erase everything at once use Account → Delete Account, or email privacy@getlouder.ai.
Is Louder intended for independent use by minors?
No. Louder is not designed, marketed, or intended for use by anyone under 18 without the supervision of the adult account holder. We do not knowingly allow minors to create accounts, make purchases, or interact with the Service independently.
Playback & audio
Music stops when I lock my phone
Louder supports background playback. If audio stops when the screen locks, make sure you are on the latest version of the app and that Silent Mode is off. Reinstalling the app usually restores background audio.
Audio sounds distorted or too quiet
Check that Bluetooth headphones are paired and that no other app is claiming the audio session. Force-quit Louder and relaunch — this usually resets the audio pipeline.
Technical issues
The app crashed — how can I help you fix it?
Crash reports are sent to us automatically via Sentry (no personal content included). If you can reproduce the crash, email us at support@getlouder.ai with the device model, iOS version, and the last action you took before it crashed.
A feature I saw yesterday is gone today
We roll out features gradually with LaunchDarkly. Some features appear for a subset of accounts while we iterate. Nothing is wrong with your account.
